Excellent astrophotography instrument

Cons:
|
Some modifications needed
|
|
Honestly you can not find a better scope for Astrophotography for $500 anywhere. This scope has great optics and is excellent for imaging. There are a few mods you need to make.
1. Flock the Tube especially across from the diagonal.
2. Remove mirror clips and silicone the mirror to the cell from the rear of the scope. put the silicone on first and then remove the clips.
3. Get a better focuser.
4. collimate, collimate, get collimation tools.
5. Blacken the edges of the secondary to reduce reflections.
6. add resistors to the back of secondary to prevent dew.
Thats it. A great performer for the price.
